buying a used laptop. which one?

been thinking of getting a used laptop because cash is tight I'm trying to
decide between an iBook g4 and a PowerBook g4. I know that both laptops
have there potential problems (logic board with iBook, some sort of ram problem with PowerBook g4) so which one would be the better, hopefully less
headaches, version to buy? thanks for any input.

Thats a waste of money, id only get one as a backup. Get an intel polycarb macbook, youll be much better off, and you can get an intel macbook for the same price as people want for a PB G4.

Both of those laptops are known for logic board issues (specifically with the GPU), so that in conjunction with sheer component age should push you towards a MacBook.

The chips are smokin' (in comparison), and as stated before, they can be had for chump change. I picked a C2D 2.2 GHz 07-08 model the other week for $350 and sold it for $600. Just keep looking (Craigslist)
