Hey guys, I just purchased a MacBook Air 11.6" (2010 model, 128GB, 4GB RAM, 1.6 GHz) off of eBay, from a seller with excellent feedback. However, I am a Mac newbie, and I was hoping someone could shed some light on how the warranty works. Now, there is over 6 months left on the warranty, the seller provided me with the unit serial number, and it's good until April 14/2012. Is there anything else that needs to be done when it comes to transferring the warranty? I am planning on getting the Applecare very soon, but wanted to find out if there's anything I need to do first.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Go easy on me if there is something obvious I missed. :D I got all of it for 780.00, so I was please with the deal. Thanks guys.

You can do the above, but it won't make any difference to Apple.

No matter who it is 'registered' to, they will service the computer.

No transfer necessary.
