So my plan is to buy a used iPhone X on Friday. I'm thinking the prices will drop to around $500 and people upgrading will want to dump theirs. Wish me luck!

I doubt they'll drop as low as $500 when current prices on eBay US are $700-$800 but they may drop another $50 -$100.
$500? good luck. most people still owe more than that at the point. (11 month for less of leased ownership) The prices aren't dipping lower than $650 anytime soon for 64gb and the 256gb u can count on being 100+ more. the cracked back ones are still going for over 500 on eBay.
People can get $525 from apple. I don't see people selling it for less then that.

Los Angeles. And I actually posted this last Tuesday and I am still getting emails. The lowest offer I got was for 700.
I am selling mine and the lowest I would go is $575. I cant see anyone going to $500 when you can get $525 at apple, or even gazelle.

Ya but you have to have the phone paid off before you can sell on there. Why I’m not.
$700 for mine. 256 GB. Pristine condition. No scratches. ATT but once I get my Max, I’ll have it unlocked. Actually, last year I was able to unlock it earlier so I can do that. Let me know if your interested. Austin TX.
