Hey there,

I switched into the Mac system early 2015. I bought a MBA 11" 2011 i5 4GB RAM 128 SSD.
For me it was a solid machine. It handles everyday usage like surfing, mailing etc pretty well.
As for using Parallels with some Linux/Win VMs its not fast enough. The 4GB RAM is not enough there.

What am I looking for?
-everyday Laptop
-surfing/mailing/office/ watching videos/pics
-editing GoPro shots once a year (MBA11" is stuttering even with 1080p shots)
-playing League of Legends with 60fps (mid settings is enough, I dont need high graphics there)
-a machine that just works (windows does NOT work stable enough for me - end of discussion :p )
-has to last at least 3 years
-dont mind buying one or two adapters

Im lucky I can save up the VAT so there are the following choices:
MBA 13" -> 789 € (with 256 GB SSD 1.000 €)
8 GB RAM
1,6 GHz i5
128 GB SSD

rMBP 13" 2015 -> 1.075 € (with 256 GB SSD 1.270 €)
8 GB RAM
2,7 GHz i5
128 GB SSD

new MBP without Touchbach -> 1.345 €
8 GB RAM
2.0 GHz i5
256 GB SSD

I guess in case of performance each device can handle my needs.
128GB SSD is a little bit less, so I need to get a SDXC 128GB too.

What do you think. Is it worth the ~200€ price increase to buy the new MBP ?
I do like retina screens and the USB-C transfer rates ( I already have a 4TB USB-C drive)

greetings from germany

edit: touch bar looks pretty nice. Though its 1.600 € ... so basically 255€ more just for the touch bar ... and 2 more ports ... and the faster CPU.
