Buying advice from Target

Hello good macrumors peeps,

I need some buying advice regarding the iphone...


... i want to get my wife an iphone c for her birthday. She is on my family plan... does she have to be present in order for me to get her a new iphone qualifying for her subsidy? In otherwords, to get the iphone c from target for $50, does she need to be present? ... if the family plan is under my control?

If you're the account holder then you don't need anyone to make changes or get a new device on your family plan.

What carrier do you have? You may want her to be there or at least the device to activate the device.
