Hi guys,

So I have narrowed my choices down to two and need help picking the best option for me.

I can get the late 2013 13" Macbook Pro refurb for $1,279.00 (mid model 2.4/8/256)

OR

I can get a deal on the new mid 2014 Macbook Pro for $1,169.99 (base model 2.6/8/128)

So for $109 less I can get this year's model brand new, but with half the storage or I can pay an extra $109+tax and lose 0.2GHZ and get a refurb with more storage.

What would you guys get??

** note that these are the Canadian prices

From my understanding, there's no SSD upgrade for late 2013 and above Macbook Pro's. If you can deal with a 128GB SSD, get the new. If you need a larger drive, you are forced to spend more on a higher model MBP or buy the refurb MBP.

IMO 128GB is way too low. Just a few videos and a bunch of pictures and you will be filled to the brim.

Yes, you can. But where can you buy one?

OWC or Transcend still haven't released an upgrade kit for these PCIe SSDs yet.

Not sure why they are so expensive.

Get the late 2013 with 256GB SSD. Doubling your storage for that amount is worth it.

Not sure why they are so expensive.

Exactly why buying up front is the way to go. Also, go charge your phone!

Bought the refurb 2013... can't wait to get it! :D
