I currently have a 2009 Macbook Pro 13 (2.26) and a Dell U2211H (its a good monitor but i do prefer glossys)

Now im looking for an upgrade, i only 'need' the power upgrade when im at home, so at first i had my mind set on the base 21,5 iMac

i then had doubts and thought, i could save money and buy the Dual-core mini with gfx (not base one up) and keep my dell display.

I then thought i can if it'd be worth it, stretch my budget, sell my MBP and get a new 13" air and a thunderbolt display,

i need the speed incrase for cpu tasks i dont do any graphical heavy work, and the air is bettter than my mbp but am i better off just getting a desktop?

You're question really comes down to your need for portability.

If you absolutely do not need portability, save some money and buy the mini, maybe think about putting the savings towards and iPad for little mobile use.

If you require portability, no question then get the MBA.

If you can stretch your budget a liiiiitle more, go fer the 13" MBP...you wouldn't regret it!
