Buying again!

So as some of you may know I dented my MBP. I don't want to bring it with me to class anymore so I am looking at picking up an old iBook for word processing and basic photoshop editing. I can get an iBook G3, 800 MHz, 30 GB HD, 256 MB RAM for about $300. Should I do this?

photoshop, no way, depends on your version

That will run older Photoshops just fine. I would look for something with a G4 instead.

Look around for a g4 on ebay if you can. I picked one up in good condition there a few weeks ago for 400. I think it was a 1ghz. You may have to fish, but you can find some good deals. I think 300 is slightly pricey for a g3. Someone was selling a g3 900mhz for 325 in the MR forum though. But I think you can fish around and find one for 200ish.
