Does anyone know what the discount is when buying a new iMac. I haven't found any updated discounts. Appreciate the help, new to Macs but always been a dedicated ipod fan.

go to the apple store, click on education store in the upper left.
Use to be a worthwhile discount, but apple got bigger and forgot their education roots... and now you can find better deals with no sales tax or a rebate on Amazon. That said, you'll save between $50 and $100 for the computer, and around $50 or so on the applecare via the education "discount".

I live in New York, does amazon offer the applecare plan? I looked at the Apple Education Store and I didn't see any definitive numbers, unless i'm missing a link, i even ran it through a mock checkout and it didn't come up at all.
