Buying an imac.. refurb or direct from apple store?

I'm pondering getting a 20" imac.. While I've bought a refurbished macbook pro in the past I'm not sure what the current odds are on refurbed machines.

(I swapped my MBP once for a machine that had slightly less whine. 'it was an early gen unit with typical first-gen problems).

Any general opinions of refurb luck vs full price?

It's a no brainer for me. You get a refurb at a great deal with the same warranty as a new machine.

I bought an iMac 24" thanks to RefurbMe website for ($1,299 == -28%). The machine works perfectly. I think that the best way to get deals from the Refurb.

If you have no way of getting a discount (Military, Education etc) then if you like the specs on a Refurb I'd go for it.

Apple are simply top notch with Refurbs.
