A 16GB will cost an arm. A 32 will cost a leg. If you want both it'll be an arm and a leg. No discounts.

If you do buy off craigslist open the box in front of the seller to make sure you are buying what you think you are. Any Joe Schmoe can get a roll of polywrap and a hair dryer to make a box look unopened.

I'm selling my 32 GB wifi iPad for $425 on Craigslist. I have a buyer set to pick it up on Friday after my new one arrives.

EDIT: Sorry; didn't realize you were talking about a NEW iPad.

I sold two 16gb wifi for $415 each. I bought as a backup to the NEW IPad a 16gb 3G mint with covers for $350 all on CL within the past 2 weeks.

If you're talking a used iPad. Going by used iPhone pricing on a release day resale values plummet for a two or three days by $150 to $300 dollars. You have to act fast though as prices quickly rebound after the frenzy to sell old and buy new dies off.

I got my 16GB 3GS for on Craigslist $250 when the iPhone 4 came out. For the release day and a couple days later they where going between $225 and $275 on eBay and Craigslist. I checked two weeks later and they where back up to $450.
