I live in the US and I will be in Montreal for the next few weeks. It appears all iPhones sold in Canada are unlocked. I am thinking of buying an iphone at the Apple store there to get one that is unlocked and then adding it to an AT&T plan when I get home. Does anyone see any complications with my plan?

no complications, if phone is unlocked ur good to go

They are factory unlocked and fully functional to work with AT&T so you have not to worry. Keep in mind, because of the CAD, our phones have gone up in price.

iPhone 6 - $749 CAD
iPhone 6 Plus - $859 CAD

Besides leaving us Canadians with less stock? :D

The phone should be compatible on AT&T's network as far as I know. Just remember about declaring customs and all that.

I am looking at the 64gb iPhone 6....it is $749 in the US. Am I correct in assuming that model is $849 in Canada? At the current exchange rate that would be about $772US. In the US I would pay 9% sales tax. Are there sales taxes or VAT in Canada that would apply to the purchase price?
