Buying an iPhone from/in China?

I was wondering if you could buy an iPhone either in China or on the internet? Would it be cheaper? Would it be legit and not an iPhone clone?

The iPhone isn't officially sold in China yet. If you find one, it's an import or a knock-off.

And there are fake iPhones out there being sold. It's "buyer beware" when you buy from not so honest sources.

as far as i know the average price for iphone in China is about $800 (US dollar) for the 16GB
