Buying an iPhone

I plan on getting an iPhone, but there isn't a AT&T or Apple store anywhere near me. The closest store is a AT&T store (Lubbock), and my question is can I buy the iPhone at a store without signing up for a contract (I plan on unlocking it)? Do all AT&T stores have iPhones?

Yes you can buy the phone without signing up at the store because the sign up process in through itunes only.
Not all AT&T stores have the iPhone so you can call your local store and ask them first.

You can always order from apple.com that will save you a trip to the ATT store.

If you don't mind spending $16 for overnight, buy one online (It's $13 for 2-day)
