Buying an iPod Touch, will 2.0 be installed?

What do you think you're going to be able to haggle about, you not buying it or you buying it? What, do you want to see if the specialist can force you to buy it? See if you can overcome his skills?

Haha, there's no benefit for the Apple Store guy to discount it, even if he could. And for the record, a manager can cut the price if necessary... but it won't happen for an iPod Touch.

If you came in as a business customer and loaded up with ProCare, AppleCare, Mac Pro, a lot of software, etc THEN you might have a case. I've witnessed such cuts. But only because they knew the odds of return business were pretty high.

I've never heard of haggling at an Apple retail store. If you're looking for a better price than retail, perhaps check out a refurb on the website. Also, if you don't care about engraving, you can usually get one at Amazon without paying taxes (depending on location).

i bought mine a couple weeks after the Jan Update was out, but the touch's in stock didnt have them, so they were just discounting the £13 off, so you could buy them if you want, and you didnt pay extra etc.

So if the apple store doesnt have 2.0's, then they will discount it, ask to make sure though.
