Buying an unlocked iPhone 4 from a reliable source?

Is there a good, reliable vendor that is recommended to purchase a hardware unlocked iPhone 4? Of course, there is Google, but if possible, I'm looking for personal recommendations or suggestions to minimize the chance I'll get a box full of rocks instead of a phone after my credit card goes through.

I know some Apple stores (Taiwan) sell unlocked phones, but I don't know if they allow Americans to buy from there.

If you know someone in the UK, they can order directly from Apple and it is unlocked due to the phone being available on any carrier (ahem Apple USA).

Of course the price is approx $900 with current exchange rates.
