Buying an unlocked iPhone 4 from Apple in late 2012?

Hello, I'm still an iPhone EDGE user... the phone is still working but all the buttons, except the home, are dead. So I'm planning to buy an iPhone 4, when the iPhone 5 is launched, so I can grab one for USD$375 (unlocked) from the apple store.

I wanted to ask if the antenna issue is that horrible? I'm planning in buying a bumper with the iPhone 4. Or should I wait one more year to buy the iPhone 4S for the same price?
 
It's not horrible. If you have a case on it you will not notice it one bit. Even without, unless you hold your phone like king kong might, you will likely not notice a thing.

If you are financially able, i would pick up an iPhone 4S rather than an iPhone 4, when the new iPhone comes out, if you really want it, you can easily sell your iPhone 4 or 4S for a good amount of money. As for the antenna issue, i agree with lordofthereef, i have used my iPhone for a while and have not had any issues with signal.

Thanks. But my problem is the money, 375 is a lot for me right now but I think is worth it because after having an iPhone it would be very hard to move backwards to another phone.

I can't buy the iPhone 4S this year, because it would cost around 550$USD. If I want to go for an iPhone 4S I would have to wait for late 2013. iPhone 4 is the only option I got for this year. :(

Then by all means go for the iPhone 4, you wont regret it!

Apple sell the iPhone 4 unlocked for $550

For $375, you get a unlocked iPhone 3GS
 
Based on is post it seems he is assuming that after the next iPhone comes out, everything will shift down and the 4 will be $375.
 
I don't even see the ability to buy a refurb 4 online... Are these going to appear once the 5 comes out...
