Hi all,

My macbook pro's one year warranty is slowly coming to its end and I was wondering if i was to buy applecare from the U.S. (such as on ebay) would I still be able to register my laptop though it was bought in Canada and I also live in Canada? (i know with itunes gift card, if you buy them from the U.S. you have to use them on the U.S. iTunes store which require a U.S. address so im not sure if this is the same)

Thanks a lot!

I'm guessing it would work, mainly because Apple Care for portables (like MacBook, MacBook Pro and Mac Mini) provides a worldwide warranty (unlike Apple Care for other Macs that provides warranty only in the country of purchase). Why not call Apple and ask? Tell them you got an Apple Care as a gift, but it's from the US. :p

calling apple takes forever? lol
and plus macrumors forum user often seem much more helpful :)

the only thing is that some listing say "you must have a U.S. address for this applecare... but to my knowledge you don't so im in a grey zone which is why im throwing the question out there...
