Buying Apps With Credit

Sorry, confusing thread title.

I have £15 app store credit, if I buy an app that is say £20 will it deduct the £15 first and charge me £5 or will it bypass my credit and charge me £20?

If I'm not completely wrong it first use your credit and then switch to charging your credit card (in your example the £5)

I believe that is true also. In my experience the Store will always use credit first before going to a card.
