Hey folks,

I'm wondering if it's possible to buy digital versions of TV shows on places other than the iTunes store (see: Amazon) for playback on Apple TV. I'm just afraid if I start buying too much stuff through iTunes, I'm going to be locked into the Apple ecosystem for life because of the DRM. I know that's what they want and over the next few years, that's the way it will be as I own an iMac, Apple TV and iPad. However, I have no idea what I'll be using in 2015.

I suppose I could just buy the DVDs and rip for playback on Apple TV then keep the discs as archive w/ the rest of my DVDs. Just hoping to stop buying discs altogether as I don't see the point. If it can keep me platform agnostic w/ my files, I guess I'll continue to do so.

Thanks
