I made my mind on the 13" M5 pro after I traded in my 12.9" M1 Pro. however, just couple days ago i found out the current 13" M3 Air can use the same magic keyboard from my 12.0" M1 pro. i do occasionally use the keyboard to edit documents and send emails. but majority of the time the ipad is just something i use to watch movies in bed. common sense says i go with the 13" Air to save money on the ipad and skip on a new keyboard, but i feel like a downgrade by getting an Air to replace the M1 Pro. what would you do in my case?

according to this thread, it can be used on the new 13" Air.
If you’re using your iPad to watch movies, the Tandem OLED display on the Pro will look much better than the LCD on the iPad Air
It’s honestly all about what you’re willing to spend. The Air is the cheaper option for sure, both in terms of device price and the fact that you don’t have to buy a new MKB. However, the Pro is obviously a better device. I have the M4 Pro 13” with nanotexture and love it. The M5 model should arrive tomorrow and I’m beyond excited! It would be hard for me to go away from a 120hz screen, the Pro model has spoiled me.
