Hi

I tried to do a search for this but couldn't find an exact answer. I'm looking to pick up a refurb imac from apple.ca. The only thing I'm worried about is where it's coming from and will I have to pay a large duty/tax fee. Do refurb imacs come from the US or in Canada?

Thanks in advance!

My refurb came from California. I assume that most of the North American refurb purchases are the same.

No additional duties or taxes were added to the cost. I'm not sure if it's covered by Apple's free shipping policy or not. There is no information on the free shipping info page on the Apple online store.

If you're still in doubt, call the store reps for help.

Yeah, it's the same as buying books from Amazon.ca. The package will arrive with no further taxes or tarriffs, whether it came from Toronto or Texas or Taiwan.

(Aah, alliteration is amusing. ;) )
