I'm new to iTunes, and just found out that you could browse through the iTunes store for other countries by changing the drop-down at the bottom of one of the pages.

Now here is my question. We live in California, but I would like to buy the HD version of Planet Earth which is available in the UK iTunes store but not the US iTunes store. Can I buy it? I also discovered a "Wallace and Gromit" in the UK, I've not seen in the US either.

Has anyone else tried to buy stuff from the stores of different countries?

I think the only way to do that is by making a foreign account and get foreign iTunes gift cards/credit card.
