g'day,

does anyone have any idea how i can bypass this whole "you don't live in the usa" caper and download tv shows from an australian residence? i'm itching to get a hold of the nba playoffs.

1. Get a US credit card

OR

2. Get a seppo to buy you a gift card

OR

3. Buy a US gift card from eBay.

I'll be picking up a gift card when I'm in the States next week. I normally wouldn't have bothered, but the fact that there are some tunes that I want which aren't yet available on iTMS UK yet is a bit annoying - even more so when they are British artists on a British label! (Paul Oakenfold ft. Brittany Murphy)

It'll be good to have the odd track. Shame I can't think of a workaround for the videos - I'd buy BSG and Scrubs in a heartbeat - but they do need to be used with my main UK based account.

(PS - I got dumped by an American girl back in '99 for calling her a Septic. Guess cockney rhyming slang isn't as funny as I thought.... but then I was terrribly, terribly drunk :D )
 
Somewhat related to this, how can you tell what country an artist is available under in iTunes?

I live in the US and an artist I was interested in came up in a search, but when I tried to buy it said it wasn't available in my store.

I may try the gift card approach, but I'm not sure what country it would have to be for.
