Hi,

Does anyone know if this is possible ? I'm planning a trip to NYC for xmas and I'd like to pickup either an 13" Air or a 13" rMBP if they exist in time. Basically I'd like to buy from the US store with my UK credit card and pick it up from store when i arrive in NYC.

Cheers for the advice.

I don't think its possible in the Apple Store, but you sure can use it at B&H Photo in NY, which is where I buy my MacBook Pros from. If you ship to a US address outside of NYC, they even cut out the sales tax, but if you are showing up in person you'll pay it. Why not just turn up with your credit card and buy one there, checking out that they have stock before you go?

I should have mentioned it would be a build to order model as I would want 8gb in an air or 16gb in a rMBP.

the "sales and refunds" info at the Apple US online store says:

The Apple Store accepts orders from billing addresses within the United States and most U.S. territories.

I think it should be possible. One of my friends was able to order an iPad 3 with his UK credit card and have it delivered to his relative's address which was in New Jersey.
Not too sure how it would work with a pick up from store.
