Buying from US Refurb store whilst visiting from UK

I wonder if you can help.
Will be going to NYC in a few weeks' time and wanna get a MBA13 fromthe refurb store.
Have found some really good deals in the refurb shop and I understand that they will deliver to a retail store. Unfortunately I do not have a credit card with a US billing address and cannot get gift cards here in the UK.
I do not have any relatives/friends in the US either so cannot get them to order it for me.
Is there any way of doing this?

The refurb thing sounds like a long shot. Your best bet would be to connect with a kind New Yorker here who is willing to go with you to an apple retail location and purchase with an EDU discount. Even if you end up paying full retail here, it's a discount compared to the UK.
