Hey, so I broke my old laptop and a new one has been sent to me from the insurance company but I haven't opened it yet. What I was wondering however, is if I'd be better of selling the laptop on ebay for a little under apple's price and buying a Mac mini and a PC (I'd have enough left to finish building the one I've wanted for gaming)...

This is the iBook spec -

1.33GHz PowerPC G4
512K L2 cache (at 1.33GHz)
14-inch TFT Display
1024x768 resolution
256MB DDR266 memory
60GB Ultra ATA drive
DVD/CD-RW drive
ATI Mobility Radeon 9200
32MB video memory
AirPort Extreme built-in

Would a mac mini be that big a performance difference? I'd probably go for the higher spec one... I do enjoy having a laptop and being able to take it places but I'm thinking that portability might be worth sacrificing to be able to get the two computers I've wanted...

Please help!

Thanks.

Edit - I might consider an iMac aswell and not get the PC yet, this could be my best option... thoughts?
