Buying i5 as walk-ins

Has anybody been able to walk in an applestore with available iphone 5's in stock and purchase one? device only or with contract. If so, can you post your the apple store's area?
 
That is very hard to do Apple stores are very limited right now...luckily I got mine at Best buy
