As title really, if you buy an Apple Watch in-store, do you have the ability to choose which strap length suits you (Sport band), or is literally still a boxed item with the standard strap?

I’ve got a 44mm with the longer band on order, but it’s not due to arrive until November.

If I thought I could go to my nearest store and pick one up before then, I’d just do that and cancel my order.

I got both short & long straps in the box. Aren’t they doing it anymore?

I don’t know what they have previously supplied in the box, but if you order online you have to choose between two strap lengths/options.

I measured my wrist and decided that although the the shorter strap size would likely almost do, the longer size would be a safer option.

Perhaps you are right, looking at the sizing again, maybe you do get two straps included:

So, impatience got the better of me and I went to my local store to try the strap sizes. About half an hours drive, not too bad. 👍

The box does indeed come with two strap options, and the “M/L” option that comes with the watch is more than big enough. No need to wait ages for my online order with the “L/XL” configuration

Heading home with my new purchase literally “in the bag”. 😊
