I've got almost 80gb of music on my Power Mac G5, and i'm looking to get a Mac Book Pro for college. I really love my music collection, and I look forward to it growing, and I know that it would be stunted if I sprung for a 120gb hard drive in my new laptop.

If i'm looking to buy a larger HD for a MacBook Pro, what are my options? Will I be able to take it to my local apple store and have technicians there install the drive for me? Are there any technical issues (cooling, etc) with installing a new faster/larger drives?

I was thinking 160gb. It seems like there are a bunch on the market. I'm not going to buy a MacBook Pro until they update with the new chip. Is it possible/likely that Apple will offer a larger HD factory installed when they release this new processor?

Thanks everyone.

80 gb, there becomes some point where you should invest in an external HD, your only going to be able to stick a 160 gb in there and that is pretty expensive.
