Buying interim phone until 6 comes

I'm ordering the new iP today. I presently have an unlocked 4 month old 5s. My initial thought is that I would get more money if I sold it now. However, that would leave me without a phone until the 6 came in a month or thereabouts. What is my best option for a temporary phone? Or is my thinking wrong about the resale value being higher now than a month from now?

If you wanted the maximum resale value you should've sold your 5s a few weeks ago.

At this point the drop in price from the 6 coming out has already happened. I'd imagine if you kept using your 5s until your 6 comes you might get a slightly better price than selling it today since a good portion of the used phones flooding the marketplace will have been sold and supply of the 5s on the used market will be back down. Overall though I doubt it makes much difference in the price.
