Buying Ipad from Verizon Store

I have been holding out on a purchase hoping someone would post there experience getting the Ipad from Verizon. A few questions: Do they activate the card instore, or do I just plug it into a computer to activate? How is the account managed; choice of plan, turning account on and off? Experiences from someone who ordered online? I am worried that getting started will be difficult.

It's an iPad WiFi bundled with their Verizon Overdrive.

I'm considering getting the deal just for the mi fi $20 package, and then sell the iPad.

Does the iPad come sealed?
