Buying iPhone 5S in Hong Kong with my friend's ID ?

I am an exchange student in HK. I will be in HK till December. As far as I know, Apple will open reservation system in 17th of september for 5S.

And I learnt that I need HK ID card however I dont have..

Can I use my friend's ID while reservation and go the Apple Store with him then buy with MY OWN credit card ?

Is it possible ?

Nope. Your friend needs to go pick it up for you. The reason why they require a HK ID card is to prevent scalpers from selling the iPhone for the gray market.

What if he doesnt have any credit card ? I will just pay it.

i'm not 100% sure, but as long as the person on the HK ID card picks it up you're golden,

No one here knows how things will turn out for you when you try to circumvent the system. You'll have to see when the day comes. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't.

I am not doing anything bad. I wont sell it on purpose to get profit.

I have the right to get iPhone 5s as a tourist.

You can always pay with cash or EPS.

You can order online and have it shipped to your hotel too, why not.

They can just prevent scalpers from hiring people to camp for days. But they can't prevent scalpers from reselling because sadly 99% of those who reserve are scalpers too (coz even real users would buy 2 and sell 1).
