Hi can anyone tell me if I will be able to buy a US iphone 6S from apple store to use in the UK?

I looked on http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/ and it seemed to be saying that if I purchased one in the UK it would be Model A1688

Which is also I think what I would get if i went for sprint, T-mobile or Verison?

Can anyone confirm if they know this is true - that it is the same phone? I know they used to be very different!

Thanks

There are only 2 models. One with CDMA and no band 30 and one without CDMA and band 30. Either one will work in UK. Buy it as contract free from Apple and restore and it will be unlocked

I have just returned from the US and bought a couple of 6S plus. There were version sold on T Mobile US and are fully unlocked and identical as the UK version. They are A1687, so I would think that the 6S will be model A1688. The AT&T are not available as handset only. For the record, I also bought AppleCare+ whilst there too and it's internationally covered as long as the country sells it too. Total saving of around £400 on two phones!

I did the maths and it did just make sense once you take into account the cost to buy a US device (even though i have one from work) and pay for a vodafone £17/month sim deal..

Just get contract and pay for the device. (i do get a discount on the plans).
