Buying Iphone at Apple Store not eligible for upgrade?

I am currently with AT&T & I am not eligible for an upgrade I have a V3 razor. From what Apple has posted on their website today I don't see them bringing up anything that sounds like it will be a problem to buy my phone there. I am going to pay $499.00 for a 16gb. Just wondering what everyone else has heard?:cool:
 
I was at an Apple Store today and they said they did not know if they would be able to process non-upgrade ATT customers. They did not know when they would have word either way. I have seen rumors, but nothing official from Apple, like for Business Customers.
