I'm buying a used iPhone off of eBay for a friend of mine that lives a couple states away from me. I'm more versed I iphone and eBay and all that than her.

I'm on AT&T and she has Verizon. I want to check the phone and all that to make sure it works and it can be activated on her network. Is there a way to do this before I send it to her?

I can call Verizon and ask about the serial number right? It'll run on I'm assuming without being in a network right?

Thanks

Go to Verizon website and put in the imei, it will tell you.

You can install Skype and use that to test the Mic and earpiece.

Thank you for your reply... I actually won one and paid BEFORE I checked the esn... And of course it was on the lost/stolen list

Good thing the seller refunded my money... Lesson learned
