Buying iphone from Canada

I want to buy an unlocked iphone from Canada but I don't know which store woul;d ship it to NY. Any suggestions?

Apple does not sell unlocked phones in Canada at Apple Retail Stores. You COULD order one from the Apple Online Store (Canada) since that's the only place they're sold in North America, and then have it shipped to a Canadian address and drive over and pick it up. Alternatively, try ebay or kijiji.

Apparently you can also buy an AT&T phone in the US at full price and call AT&T and they'll unlock it for free. Not sure if this is 100% true or if there's a catch.
