could i just walk in the store and buy an iphone 5?
do i need to pre order or get reservation time?
please help me.

No one can really do anything but guess.
At present, no you can't. You need a reservation, which is pretty much a lottery with a 1% chance of actually getting a confirmation email for a reservation.
By the end of October, who knows? The stock situation might be completely changed with every store holding excess stock.
I walked in on day of release and purchased one, initially I was advised they were reserved for new contracts but I persuaded the guy as I was getting a 64GB white.
