Hi if I buy my iPhone 5 unlocked in the us can I take it home and put a uk sim in, will it work?

Thanks connor

Yes, it should work. Apple started selling truly unlocked phones (A1428 model) since Thursday night. This is not tagged to AT&T or Verizon and can be used with any GSM wireless provider straight out the box. I bought one on Friday, and I have an O2 Sim from my last visit to London, and it works.
