If I buy a iPhone while out of state on vacation, will I be able to hook it up and use it while on vacation. The reason that I ask this is because of future warranty work etc.

unless you are going to a foreign country i don't see a problem with buying it while on vacation

Future warranty work? What do you mean? It all goes through AT&T/Apple, not the store you bought it from. Anyway, I don't see any reason why you can't do this.

I have an uncle that lives in Florida with a Massachusetts Cell phone number on ATT. and the stores down there in FLA won't help him out at all.

If he wants to upgrade or has any problems he has call to them up on the 1800 number.

So probably will not be able to buy out of your state especially now with the instore activation.

Last year you probably could of gotten away with it, this year i doubt it.
