A friend of mine is looking to buy a new MBP and he was wondering if he could get both the academic discount (which is 10% I guess with the 'Apple On Campus' program) and buy it tax free through his dad's business? (taxes in Belgium are 21%)

So he will have a total discount of 31%.

So yeah, would he be able to get both discounts or would he have to make a choice? (seeing getting both student discount and business tax-free seems a bit contradictive)

Thanks in advance

By tax-free do you mean the business recovers the VAT as a business expense - then why not.

As long as it is for the business you can recover the VAT. Any other discounts are not really relevant and only reduce the amount of tax recoverable. Nobody will question the discount. If this a student purchase then the discount will be nearer 15% (HE) and an almost free iPod Nano. Maybe even a free printer too.
