Hi i will be in Las Vegas 2 days before Black Friday to buy my first macbook pro 13" the low end version, my question to the users in the forum is can i buy the macbook pro with the international or UK keyboard layout instead of the standard US one?

Also on the Apple store website when customising the macbook pro i saw this: Backlit Keyboard (Japanese) & User's Guide Does this mean its the Japanese keyboard layout and can also be bought from the store?

Thanks :)

I cannot speak for that store. You will certainly want to contact them yourself. In my case, I purchased my MBP 13" in Japan. One store only had the Japanese keyboards. Another had a few with the US layout. I was fortunate.

Although I do much of my work in Japanese and Chinese, the layout of the Japanese keyboard (absurdly small and off-center space bar) is very frustrating. I like the larger return key, but everything else is not so great. Make sure you get the best keyboard for the kind of work you do.
