Hey folks,

one question:
Do I pay taxes when I purchase my Macbook Pro from the online Apple store, if my address is located in Chicago(IL) and if I'm obligated to do so, what are my alternatives?

Thanks:)

Yes. If you want to avoid tax, you can buy from Amazon.

Note that while this is largely true, for everything you buy online you are supposed to pay sales tax on it directly to the state when you file your taxes (at least in IL). I don't know of anyone who actually does this, however.

I try to buy items in Delaware, and have online taxable items shipped to a cousin who lives there.

I love the no sales tax states. If my wife didn't work in DC, I'd move there.

Yes. If you want to avoid tax, you can buy from Amazon.

So let me get this straight because I have couple of questions:
I go online on Amazon, then I purchase the Macbook Pro. I suppose that a macbook pro bought from Amazon has one year warranty right?....and 14 days return (no fees) policy like Apple does?
Please answer,Thanks.

All new MBPs have one year warranty regardless of where you purchased it.

You can return it without fees if there's something wrong with it, I believe. Otherwise you pay shipping.
