Was going to wait for latest update, but a guy is advertising a brand new sealed MBP 2.2 for $1500.

Any reason I should pass it up for the near future MBP release ?
are the speculated updates that major ?

I'll be meeting him at an apple store, so I can have an apple genius check it out. He says, he just purchased within the last two weeks from major computer internet store. It's supposedly, new, sealed, just purchased from authorized apple retailer in the last two weeks.

What should I check out or verify before buying ?

Thanks

first off, if 2.2 is fast enough for you, which technically it should be, than that's fine. I would personally check out the serial # (there's a program whose name i don't remember right now, if someone knows the name, post below.) Again, unless you NEED a better processor or the possibility of a muli-touch trackpad, i would take the deal, as it sounds pretty good. (also open the computer in front of the genius if you can, just to make sure)

good luck!
