For my macbook5,1 . Looking at getting the 45 dollar ebay ones. Would these work the same or are their any issues with running these over oem batteries. The oem batteries and knockoffs are both made in the same place.

Are you sure of that? Also, are they made to the same tolerances? If you search for the other battery threads, you will find that people will warn you off of ebay batteries and rightly so.

Just because ebay says it's made in the same factory, it's not always true. Not all postings on ebay are 100% honest. Even the ones that have only truth in them are not always totally honest.

Also, remember you often get what you pay for.

Actually, they're not. Don't believe the marketing claims by 3rd party battery makers. Based on the number of complaints reported, I would never trust or recommend a battery that didn't come from Apple.
