Buying new macbook pro in the UK (London)

Hello everyone.
I will be in London on friday for a short time, about half a day.
So I want to get the new macbook pro 15" high end from there. I would like to get hi res anti-glare screen and 500GB HD 7200rpm instead of the default 750GB 5400rpm.

Would it be available in the apple store for pick-up? I remember reading somewhere that if you want those customization, you might have to order online.

I'm pretty sure you'll need to order that online I'm afraid. Could give the store a call in advance I guess..

Try the Covent Garden store. Remember, it's the biggest Apple Store in the world

The following are what they offered for sale when I went to get one and they said it was the same in all the stores + HDD and RAM was replaceable on the spot but no SSDs were in stock.

- MBP 15" 2.0 Standard
- MBP 15" 2.2 Standard
- MBP 15" 2.3 Glossy HiRes

For HiRES anti glare you need to order online.

I just called covent garden and indeed, they confirmed that for anti-glare customization I would have to order online. I didn't call the other store because of long waiting line on the phone but I think it's all the same.
Oh well, I will have to wait til next week then
