Hi there,

i was planning to buy a new mbp 15" 2.5ghz glossy screen tomorrow, but i'm reading all those comments about heating problems and nvidia gpu problems..
so what should i do?

are the issues really that bad? i need one before september... it's making me very uneasy reading all these posts about problems with the macbook pro.

yeah I would really like one soon. I'm sick of waiting also but you really can't quit so close to a revision.

Buy it if you need it.

The NVIDIA problems are exaggerated IMO.

There will be no new MacBook Pros tomorrow. Wait for the update.

*Sniffles* B-but, l-l-last week you said it would be "either today or next week" :'(

Yeah, it's kind of annoying, but you might want to wait a month or two for the revision. Hopefully no overheating/crapping out issues with the new MBP....

There there... it's all right... did you really expect Apple to come through? Here... have a Mac Mini to tide you over while you wait...:p

okay.. here's the deal. and listen close because this applies to life as well. There are people who just like to bitch and whine... agonize over decisions and then feel buyers remorse after having somehow tripped and fallen against their mouse and clicking 'buy'.

apple is a very decent company that makes very good products.. they mess up yes, but rarely do they not make it right in the end. if you need and like a macbook pro get one. if you do not need and do not like one do not.

don't base your decision on people whose free time *I wish to god I had* that pollute this board with sky is falling crap because their daddy didn't love them. and for heavens sake don't base your opinions on idiots, because idiots are *always* the loudest.

cheers

+1
Well said

If one was to wait, who's to say that a revision will cure the woes? It's possible the next one will not be any better or perhaps worse?
