Buying on Launch Day: Verizon Store or Apple Store?

I've never bought an iPhone on launch day before but am planning to do so for the 5S. Would people recommend doing so at an Apple Store or a Verizon Store? Any difference in the lines and service?

Also, how early would you recommend getting to either place next Friday?

My roommate is getting his 5S on launch day as well and we were discussing the same thing last night...I was thinking Verizon store might be less busy, but we also live in Los Angeles, where there are a ton of Verizon stores.

Something to think about....

Verizon gives a 14 day return policy if dissatisfied

Apple Store or online store gives 30 days

Less than 50 miles from apple store, and you have to bring the phone to get it checked out to get the AppleCare + coverage unless you are lucky with a rep.

Apple online or store you can get AppleCare + right then and there.

5C one can get it on Friday as a pre order. Not so with the 5S. Next wednesday as shrink posted
