Buying Programs/Compatibility with Snow Leopord?

So I am planning on buying either the Adobe Production Suite, or Final Cut Express, my dilemma is that I worry that if I buy these programs now, then buy Snow Leopard in September, that they may now be compatible, or may have updates after the snow leopard release taking advantage of this new OpenCl stuff i've been hearing about. I have a unibody Macbook Pro (December) 2.4 Ghz 2 gigs ram.
