I was recently gifted an eBay giftcard for $200 and I wanted to use it on upgrading my 13" 2011 MBP RAM to 8GB and get a sleeve.

Does anyone have a link to a trusted seller for RAM? I would prefer G.Skill or Crucial for the RAM.

Also, I was looking for a 13" sleeve to case my MBP. Has anyone bought one from eBay and could recommend me one?

You can sell your gift card on eBay and convert it to cash. I usually get 95% of the face value and can then shop where ever I want to.

While I wouldn't buy ram off eBay, if that's what you want to do, I'd only consider those that have a nice return policy.

Well, it's risky to buy ram from eBay because if something is wrong with it. You're kinda SOL unless you can get the manufacturer to back it.

I'd go ahead and buy the sleeve on ebay. That's no big deal.

I agree 100%, but I need to spend the gift card on something productive :)
